| Jeremy and Mom on New Years in Miami |
So lack of wedding blog entries is due to my month long commercial shoot, split between Buenos Aires and London.
Besides removing 8-10 coffee mugs that are labeled "Coffee" and popcorn bowls labeled "Popcorn Bowl" I have done very little wedding planning.
My mother, however, is planning - what I can only assume - is the most epic Jack and Jill shower ever.
Wedding Vocab Word of the Day
Jack and Jill Shower
noun
1. Wedding shower where guys and girls are invited and the Groom and Bride both receive gifts.
2. Strange phenomenon in which Jack and Jill climb up a hill to fetch a pail of water and end up somehow mixed up in precipitation.
ORIGIN probably after 1960; probably America
Why a Jack and Jill shower you ask? Well, as a semi feminist I do not feel like the pots, pans, towels, and vacuum cleaner are exclusively for me (they are exclusively for our cleaning lady).
Also, Jeremy is my buddy- so I want him there.
My mom has been using Facebook to ask us questions about the shower. Here is the latest thread.
Mom: I need some info........what is your favorite cake and icing?
Tara: Rillings is always a crowd pleaser and totally amazing. Other than that? Red Velvet? Regular vanilla? Jeremy?
Jeremy: We just had red velvet with cream cheese icing the other day at work. It was awesome.
Mom: You guys have to think bigger..........
Jeremy: Ok, then how about a life-sized sculpture of the two of us in wedding attire, made out of vanilla cake with a cream cheese icing wedding dress and chocolate icing tuxedo, and 'Cake Tara' holding an edible arrangement bouquet of chocolate covered snozberries?
Mom: You better watch what you wish for.......
Who else is scared, but somewhat excited for My Super Sweet Shower?
