Asking the Bridal Party Army

Asking someone to be part of your bridal party is a little awkward. Most likely everyone will accept but you always worry they may not. Then the whole things is strangely formal. Do you hug? shake hands? curtsy?

So Jeremy and I made these bottles. When we asked people to join the bridal party we gave them a
bottle of wine with a wine label that we wrote and designed- hoping the small gesture took away some of the awkwardness.

To the bridesmaids we couldn't give them to in person, in time, we sent this creepy video.

Here is a video of Jack reading aloud the wine label.

Despite the fact that he proclaims "I don't read good" he did a good enough job to join our wedding army.

Here is what they said:

BRIDEZILLA RELIEF SERUM
I am miraculously getting married and I want you to be a part of the wedding adventure. You’ve seen me through it all. The good and the bad hairstyles, the thick and the Ephedra. The countless hours on the Starbucks bench, the hundreds of Rum Runners, and accidental late night solo skinny dipping quests. Whoops. Some of you actually are my sisters but all of you feel like my sisters. (The non-sorority kind.) So will you be my bridesmaid? Will you squeal with excitement over things like flowers, invitations, and lighting? Will you talk in depth about the pros and cons of napkin rings? Will you obsess over nonsense with me? In return, I promise to dress you in something hot.

ROMAN SPIRIT FIGHTING JUICE
According to Roman law, a groom was to ask his friends
to dress in identical clothing and stand beside him when he got married. The groomsmen were believed to scare off evil spirits who may cause mischief at the wedding. They dressed alike so the evil spirits wouldn’t know which one was the groom. So I ask you, the friends who have stood beside me through the various chapters of my life, do you accept this challenge to help me defeat the evil Roman spirits? Or rather, will you rent a tux and come to my bachelor party? These are the wishes of Marcus Aurelius.
